Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question? We're here to make every step effortless.

How do I book a tour or airport transfer? +
Booking is quick and seamless: simply select your experience or transfer route and click "Book on WhatsApp". You can specify your travel date, guest count, and hotel for pickup. Our concierge team will confirm your reservation instantly with no credit card prepayment needed.
What is your cancellation policy? +
We offer flexible and fair cancellation: standard day excursions and airport transfers can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours prior to departure. For private yacht charters and multi-day Nile cruises, 48 hours notice is kindly requested. Simply message us on WhatsApp.
Is hotel pickup and drop-off included? +
Yes! All our excursions and private transfers include round-trip door-to-door transportation in clean, air-conditioned vehicles from any hotel in Hurghada, El Gouna, Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi Bay, or Soma Bay.
What currencies are accepted for payment? +
We accept Egyptian Pounds (EGP), US Dollars (USD), Euros (EUR), and British Pounds (GBP). You can pay comfortably in cash upon arrival/pickup or coordinate direct transfer options with our customer support team.
Are private and customized tours available? +
Absolutely! Custom and VIP private travel is our core specialty. Whether you want a private speed boat to secluded reefs, a customized itinerary to Luxor and Cairo, or an intimate romantic desert dinner, our team will tailor every detail to your schedule.
What should I bring on desert safari or diving trips? +
For desert safaris, we recommend sunglasses, a scarf (Arafat style, also available on site), and casual comfortable shoes. For boat trips and diving, bring swimwear, a towel, and reef-safe sunscreen. All snorkeling and scuba diving gear is fully provided and sanitized.
How does the Hurghada Airport (HRG) meet-and-greet transfer work? +
Your private chauffeur tracks your incoming flight number in real-time, waiting inside or just outside the arrivals terminal holding a personalized nameboard with your name. They assist with all luggage and escort you straight to your air-conditioned private vehicle with no intermediate stops or waiting for shared tourist buses.
What are the tipping customs (baksheesh) in Egypt? +
Tipping is customary and warmly appreciated across Egypt for attentive service. Typical guidelines: private transfer chauffeurs ($5-$10 or 250-500 EGP), licensed Egyptologist tour guides ($15-$25 or 750-1,250 EGP per day/group), and boat crews ($5-$10 per guest). Tipping is always at your personal discretion based on service quality.
Are Waypoint tours private or shared group excursions? +
Waypoint specializes exclusively in private, VIP, and small-group experiences. Your transfers, boat charters, and cultural day trips are dedicated solely to your traveling party with private vehicles and dedicated guides.
